Castle Gardens Arcen The Netherlands 18, 19 and 20 August 2023

The 31st edition of the Holland Chapter’s koi show took place on the 18th to 20th August at our now historical venue – the Castle Gardens in the village of Arcen, in the south east corner of the country.

The KwaZulu Natal Koi Show was held at the Durban Shongweni Club in Durban over the weekend of 15-16 July 2023. A total of 357 koi were entered on the show by 22 entrants, many of whom travelled very long distances to compete in the show.

Hasegawa Hisateru is a young Koi hobbyist, who has been bewitched by Omosako Shiro Utsuri. He joined the IKEAGE work at one of Omosako's field ponds. Nishikigoi is raised in mud field ponds during summer in a traditional way. "IKEAGE" is to catch Nishikigoi in a field pond and return them to greenhouse ponds before winter.
